A Sustainable Project
The solar light project has proven itself to be sustainable in more ways than one. Primarily, natural sunlight is harvested for use during the very dark evenings which begin at around 6pm, with Sitima being situated relatively close to the equator.
Wonderfully however N4BW has now been able to withdraw from managing the project as the Sitima community has taken it on – ordering lamps, managing the selling agents and most importantly maintaining access to solar lamps by the community.
