New desks at St Michael’s
These newly installed desks and benches at St Michael’s Primary School have taken more than 18 months to complete. The problem being a lack of available supplies. Whilst working in the classroom the builders brightened it up by lime washing the walls and repainting the chalkboard as well as filling in the potholes in the classroom floor.
They have been installed in a Year 7 classroom where previously the 13/14 year olds sat on the floor for lessons. The trustees at N4BW are determined to ensure that desks and chairs are provided for more schools to encourage the dignity of all, particularly of adolescent girls
Two more sets of desks and chairs are just in the final stages of construction almost ready for installing at Mikundi and Milepa schools.
