Sports programme
Young people in Malawi, like young people everywhere are mad on sports - quite stereotypically the boys play football and the girls play netball. Whilst the Malawi national football team doesn’t rank highly, the country’s netball team is going great guns, currently ranked as 6th in the world. This success has the girls highly motivated to play, compete and win.
N4BW runs annual leagues in both sports, the process being managed by local man, Thomas.
We are extremely grateful to the charity Kitaid for their generous donation of kits for the teams and to donors who have supplied the resources to keep the leagues going.
We also thank our volunteer, Chris, for the support he gives and the training he offers to the adult supporters in Malawi.
