Two weeks on…..
Cyclone Freddy wasn’t the end as more and more rain came, leaving more roads impassable and more homes damaged. The photo shows the main road to Kachulu still flooded two weeks on. Aid isn’t getting through to some of the more isolated parts and families are trudging their way to temporary refuge centres in schools in the hope of a dry night and a meal each day.

Primary Schools in Malawi finish at Standard 8, when the learners undertake a national leaving certificate. We are delighted to report that St Michael’s Zone has been acknowledged for its excellent results with 15 out of the 17 schools
Distributing Baby Clothes
Volunteers have been to the maternity unit at the Matawale Health Centre, just 15 kms away from Sitima, to deliver baby clothes to new born babies. Most women give birth at home but for some who experience a complicated pregnancy or birth.
