A Budding entrepreneur
We are always delighted to support enterprise and on a recent visit volunteers were more than pleased to witness an initiative developed by Mphatso who is just leaving school
On a visit to family in another part of Malawi Mphatso learned how to make colourful bracelets using binding tape as a base and different coloured thread to provide the pattern whether it be a name or shapes.
The volunteers were very happy to buy an array of them for family and friends living back home
They also worked with him exploring ways of expanding his market and helping him to develop a business model for his enterprise

Each year we work with local residents in Sitima to explore ways of mitigating the effects of climate change as in the photo above which shows eager learners attending a compost making course.

Working to reduce the amount of fuel used in cooking we are working with a local charity developing fuel efficient stoves which are being installed in schools.

A visit to Sitima by our founder
