Official opening at Nakhombe School
The local chief is seen cutting the ribbon on the new classroom block at Nakhombe School. The three new classrooms are large and airy, all with built in storage space. The classrooms have been furnished with new desks, providing dignity to the senior learners using the rooms.
The villagers are delighted and feel very much part of the build as between them they burned the bricks for the foundations and collected the river sand. The new building has been made with cement blocks, a method requested by the Local Education Authority, as it is more environmentally friendly than the traditional brick design
