Mponda Gear in operation
Many of you will have heard of “Tippy Taps” a wonderful hand made, low cost, easy to operate invention facilitating the easy washing of hands, particularly after using a latrine. Well just this week we have learned that here in Malawi they are referred to as mponda gear.
Happily we are seeing more of them in use in schools being used by learners and teachers alike.
Designs vary from school to school but they are all effective in reducing the spread of infection.
