Helping prisoners in the fight against Covid-19
There are two mens prisons very near to where we work from in Sitima. Conditions for the prisoners are very basic and it has been part of our mission to regularly make offerings of food, toiletries and footwear.
Recently, assisted by Fr Bernard Maganga, we delivered supplies of soap, sanitiser and PPE to Mikuyu Prison, near Zomba

Tree Planting Day
At a meeting with the Headteachers of all 17 schools, way back in October, a decision was made to make a collective stand against Climate Change, by hosting a St Michael’s Zone Tree Planting Day on Wednesday 6 February.

Each year we work with local residents in Sitima to explore ways of mitigating the effects of climate change as in the photo above which shows eager learners attending a compost making course.

Belgian charity AnaMalawi has kindly donated and installed solar light systems to 10 primary schools, enabling Standard 8 Learners to revise of an evening, prior to their public exams
