St Michael’s Zone Tree Planting Day

At a meeting with the Headteachers of all 17 schools, way back in October, a decision was made to make a collective stand against Climate Change, by hosting a St Michael’s Zone Tree Planting Day on Wednesday 6 February. During last year a lot of work was carried out with pupils, teachers and the community looking at both the causes and effects of Climate Change.

The day before the event was particularly exciting with pupils arriving on foot, on bicycles and a couple of teachers making it on motor bikes, with everyone travelling back to school laden with trees that had been grown from seed by our local employee Mr Harry Makawa, all in time for Tree Planting Day.
